Our wonderful family friend Sylvia Syms passed away peacefully today at Denville Hall. She was a brilliant actress who could turn her hand to many roles, including portraying Olive Woodhouse in EastEnders and The Queen Mother in the Stephen Frears movie The Queen. IMO she never received the recognition she deserved, but I'll remember her as being enormously naughty and fun. RIP, darling Sylvia.
